What’s It all About?

Combining the thrill of Sunseeker Powerboats with a number of interactive tasks, this engaging challenge has developed over the last 10 years into an invigorating and captivating event. LYC Events has leapt into the 21st century by successfully building on the programme’s past success.

Guests will endeavour to complete a uniquely captivating challenge created by our expert team who have a rich and varied history of working in the Solent. Blasting across the water on High Performance Powerboats, guests will tackle a variety of mental and cryptic clues related to geographical locations within a given timeframe. As the activity unfolds extra points will be awarded for inventive photographs and for finding unusual scavenger materials. These tasks will all be completed whilst helming and navigating these beautiful boats at speeds surpassing 40 knots.

Extracts from books, newspaper articles and pages torn from journals are the form in which clues will be presented and each clue will contain valuable information required to complete the task. Digital cameras are used by the teams to capture the answers which emphasise the plot and the day’s objectives.

9.00 Refreshments are served as guests arrive at Marina.

9.30 Refreshments are served as guests arrive at Marina.

10.00 Guests and skippers are introduced, and then off to the Sunseeker Powerboats.

12.30 A Pimms drinks reception is served on arrival in Cowes.

12.45 Time for lunch

14.00 The competition continues as guests return to their boats for the afternoon session.

16.30 All boats come back to Marina for a Champagne prize giving.

17.30 Approximate time for the day’s events to finish.
