What’s It all About?

This unique military style event stands out from any other corporate market place concept. Operation I.O.W is exhilarating from the word go as guests are flown by helicopter to the north end of the Isle of Wight for a 24 hour stretch in a state of the art Military base. Staying overnight in army barracks, guests will share bunks and enjoy a canteen breakfast in this back to basics themed challenge. The Churchill’s, Pattons and Storming Normans of the groups will be roused by the sound of a bugle and then briefed by the LYC Events team on the tasks they will be facing. With the aid of arial photographs, compasses and cryptic clues, guests will get to grips with each activity throughout the 810 acres of SSSI ground (Special Site of Scientific Interest), locating tasks within woodland, open ground, lakes and barren high ground.

This exclusive challenge involves resources such as a 13 metre high rope course, SA80 Laser Rifle Training System which is used by the military for Close Quarter Combat, the largest mobile Climbing Wall in the UK, a 15 metre Water Traverse, Canadian Canoes, Mortar firing and a number of explosives and pyrotechnics designed to sharpen the wits. An exhilarating 2 hour Treasure Hunt is an exciting conclusion to the day’s activities utilising a high speed extraction by RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat). Guests will then be taken up Southampton water to the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel and then to an organised coach for transport home.
